Resourcing and Equipping Christians Towards Missional Renewal

In Jesus's final command to the Church in Matthew 28:19, He said, "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations..." Recent research, however, shows that Christians are not sharing their faith despite many feeling the responsibility to do so. A survey of more than 2,700 church leaders between May and July 2021 revealed that only 9 percent (9%) said it was a high priority for members of their congregation to share their faith (see CT article). 65% of church leaders in Canada say their congregation/parish hasn’t prioritized evangelization over the last several years. This presents a genuine concern if we believe the message of Jesus is the answer to the deepest questions, needs and aspirations of the world today.

If the Church's expansion in the 1st century took place through the unrecorded witness of its ordinary membership, then a missionary revival today involving every Christian and every Church —and not just some 'clergy' or some 'missions organization'— is what we need in sending the Gospel to the uttermost parts of the world! Our main goal for the Push Campaign is to contribute to inspiring and resourcing Christians on the need and available options for sharing our evangelistic task.

To contribute our part in inspiring others to share their faith, highlighting ministries that are, identifying barriers to evangelization, and providing resources for Christians towards the urgent task of Evangelism & Discipleship, The Re:New Movement has partnered with leaders from across Canada, including the Evangelical Fellowship of Canada (EFC), Compassion Canada, Willowdale Baptist Church, North York, and the Jesus Festival team in Ghana, to multiply our impact.

Respond to the Great Commission by sharing Christ and caring for children and families living in poverty. Sign-up your Church/ministry to host a missions encounter.

Let us hold hands with your ministry to help equip and mobilize your existing missions/prayer teams and get the congregation excited about the great commission, understand the role of the Holy Spirit in mission, and engage your communities and neighbourhoods in Jesus’ name. Set your ministry up for growth through Intentional and ongoing Evangelism and outreach in your local community.

Host us (representatives from the Re:New Movement, Compassion Canada and other partners) for your regular Sunday morning service for a 30-40 minute presentation in place of your sermon, a mid-week special event (2-3 hours) or multiple days for an intensive training. In each case, we will leave your Church with a Missional Tool kit with resources to kick start your new missional journey as a Church. (Note that we’re starting with Churches in Ontario, Canada and in Accra, Ghana.)
